How to operate your C60 Lympstone
How to use the solar compass
The watch is fitted with a solar compass on the inner bezel.
Here’s how to use it.
1. Unscrew the upper crown. This lets you rotate the compass bezel.
2. Point the watch’s hour hand in the direction of the sun. Make sure
the watch is horizontal.
3. Rotate the ‘S’ (‘South’) on the compass bezel until it’s halfway
between the hour hand and the index at 12 o’clock

4. You can now read the points of the compass to determine
your position.
Example : If it’s 10 o’clock in the morning, point the hour hand at
the sun. Then rotate the ‘S’ until it reaches 11 o’clock (ie: halfway
between the hour hand and the 12 o’clock index). You can now
work out your position.

If you are in the northern hemisphere use ‘S’ (South) on the
compass bezel. If in the southern hemisphere, use position
‘N’ (North) instead.

These determinations are approximate as there is some discrepancy
at different latitudes and in different seasons.
