The
gear
shifter
is
located
between
the
seats.
To
change
gears,
stop
the
vehicle,
and
with
the
engine
idling,
move
the
lever
to
the
desired
gear.
Do
not
attempt
to
shift
gears
with
the
engine
speed
above
idle
or
while
the
vehicle
is
moving.
Tip:
Maintaining
gear
linkage
is
important
to
assure
proper
transmission
function.

your

if
you
experience
any
shifting
problems.
NOTICE:
Do
not
attempt
to
shift
gears
while
the
vehicle
is
moving
or
damage
to
the
transmission
could
result.
Always
shift
when
the
vehicle
is
stationary
and
the
engine
is
at
idle.
Parking
Brake
1.
Apply
the
brakes.
2.
When
the
vehicle
is
fully
stopped,
pull
the
parking
brake
lever
upward
as
far
as
possible
to
set
the
parking
brake.
3.
Stop
the
engine.
4.
To
release
the
parking
brake,
apply
the
brakes
and
push
the
lever
toward
the
passenger
seat
and
downward.
Tip:
Always
engage
the
parking
brake
whenever
the
vehicle
is
left
unattended.
Operating
the
vehicle
while
the
parking
brake
is
engaged
could
cause
an
accident
resulting
in
serious
injury
or
death.
It
could
also
result
in
driveline
or
engine
damage.
Always
be
sure
to
disengage
the
parking
brake
before
operating
the
vehicle.
Brake
Pedal
Apply
the
brake
pedal
to
slow
or
stop
the
vehicle.
Apply
the
brakes
while
starting
the
engine.
Throttle
Pedal
Push
the
pedal
down
to
increase
engine
speed.
Spring
pressure
returns
the
pedal
to
the
rest
position
when
released.
Always
check
that
the
throttle
pedal
returns
normally
before
starting
the
engine.
Make
sure
there's
adequate
throttle
pedal
play.

If
the
throttle
cable
should
stick
in
an
open
position
when
the
operator
releases
the
throttle
pedal,
the
engine
will
stop
and
power
to
the
rear
wheels
will
cease.
