UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure all the parts shown on the Parts Lists on pages 14,
16, and 18 are included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight
Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.
DRILL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer
to the Assembly Diagram on page 15.
CAUTION: Always make sure the Power Cord of the Drill is unplugged from its
electrical outlet
prior to making any adjustments to the tool.
Changing a Drill Collet
Press the Lock Button (14) and fully unscrew the Collet Nut (1d). Remove the
current Collet (2d) and replace with another Collet (2d). Depress the Lock Button
(14) again, replace the Collet Nut (1d), and tighten slightly. See FIGURE 1.

Attaching a Drill Bit
Press the Lock Button (14) and loosen the Collet Nut (1d). Insert the bit (not
included) all the way into the Collet. Depress the Lock Button (14) again and
tighten the Collet Nut (1d). See FIGURE 2.
Warning!!
Never use cracked, bent, or chipped bits. They may break, causing the
operator injury.
