ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
During assembly, refer to the Assembly Drawing and the Parts List at the end of this manual.
1.
Insert the Side Grip (32) over the Front Housing (24) until it rests behind the Chuck.
2.
Turn the Side Grip for left or right-handed use, then securely tighten the wing nut until
Side Grip cannot move.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Inserting and Removing Drill and Hammer Bits
The Rotary Hammer is equipped with a SDS-Plus, keyed chuck. Follow these steps to
insert a bit. See illustration below.
1.
Pull down on the chuck Clamp Bushing (30).
2.
Insert a SDS-Plus hammer, chisel, or drill bit all the way into the chuck.
SDS-Plus dictates the type of bit (base) that will only fit (and lock) into the chuck.
3.
Turn the bit until it locks into the internal slots.
4.
Release the Clamp Bushing (30).
5.
Pull on the bit to ensure it is locked in place.
Drill Operation
1.
Turn the control Knob (49) to the symbol for drill operation. See illustration below.
2.
Press the Forward/Reverse Switch (61) to select the direction of turn.
