puller on output shaft and remove speedometer

drive gear. Remove retaining clip.

6. Remove governor cover retainer with a screwdriver.

7. Using a screwdriver and hammer, gently tap along

governor cover lip (fig. 6M), remove governor cover

and "O " ring seal (fig. 7M). Discard seal.

CAUTION: Do not attempt to pry the

screwdriver between the case and governor

cover as this could cause damage to the case.
