Storage of Appliance
Storage of an appliance indoors is only permissible if the cylinder is disconnected and removed from
the appliance. When the appliance is not in use, it should be covered and stored in a dry, dust-free
environment.
Gas Cylinder
Use gas cylinders only with these required measurements: 12” (30.5 cm) (diameter) x 18” (45.7 cm)
(tall) with 20 lb. (9 kg.) capacity maximum.
Gas cylinder valve must have a Type 1 outlet compatible with regulator or grill, a safety relief valve, and
a UL listed Overfi ll Protection Device (OPD).
The gas cylinder should not be dropped or handled roughly! If the appliance is not in use, the cylinder
must be disconnected. Replace the protective cap on the cylinder after disconnecting the cylinder from
the appliance.
Place dust cap on cylinder valve outlet whenever the cylinder is not in use. Only install the type of dust
cap on the cylinder valve outlet that is provided with the cylinder valve. Other types of caps or plugs
may result in leakage of propane.
Cylinders must be stored outdoors in an upright position and out of the reach of children. The cylinder
must never be stored where temperatures can reach over 121° F (50° C). Do not store the cylinder near
fl ames, pilot lights or other sources of ignition. DO NOT SMOKE NEAR A GAS CYLINDER.
Again, this appliance is designed for use outdoors, away from any fl ammable materials. It is important
that there are no overhead obstructions and that there is a minimum distance of 36 inch from the side
or rear of the appliance. It is important that the ventilation openings of the appliance are not obstructed.
The barbecue must be used on a level, stable surface. The appliance should be protected from direct
drafts and positioned or protected against direct penetration by any trickling water (e.g. rain).
Routine inspection of the gas cylinder to check test date status is necessary.
Parts sealed by the manufacturer or its agent must not be altered by the user.
No modifi cations should be made to any part of this appliance, and repairs and
maintenance should only be carried out by a registered service engineer or technician.
Hold coupling nut and regulator as shown for
proper connection to gas cylinder valve.
