Care and maintenance
• Do not place objects on the panel and do not sit on it.
• We recommend to disconnect the charging cable between the solar panel
and the solar battery when not in use.
• Never attempt to cut the panel.
• Temperatures of over 90 °C (194 °F) may destroy the solar panel. Make sure
to place the module so that no heat build-up can occur.
• Never place flammable, explosive or dangerous objects in the vicinity
of the solar module.
• When using the suction cups to attach the panel, make sure that the device is
securely affixed to the surface. Failure to do so may result in potential danger
caused by falling devices.
• In order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of power to the solar module, it is important
to keep the panel clean. We recommend that you regularly check for dust and dirt that
can impact the efficiency and quality of your solar charging.
• Use a soft and wet cloth for cleaning - no harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong
detergents.
6. Care and maintenance
Previous designs of solar panels used unwieldy glass to protect the solar cells from environmental hazards. The Maroshi uses
light, tough and flexible plastics. It’s engineered to be resilient, but should still be treated carefully to avoid damage. It’s mostly
common sense – do not attempt to cut or over bend the panel and treat it with care and you and your Maroshi have a long
future ahead of you. The panel is flexible and can be bent, but prolonged over-bending can causes creases and damage that
will reduce the efficiency of your Maroshi panel.
