2. Status Indicator RAPs

CMT 130 Book Trimmer 

RAP 2.17 Starter Circuit 

Input 23 and 24, Output 7 

The IR relay enables operation of the gripper 
transport, knife and registration movement and 
the accessory equipment, and pump motor re-
lay.  The pump relay enables operation of the 
hydraulic system.  Both relays operate simulta-
neously. 

Output 7 should be on when input 23 and 24 are 
on. 

Possible Fault Indicators 

 

The hydraulic system will not switch on 
or the servo drive is disabled 

 

The servo drive will not initialize on 
startup 

 

Interlock relay error! ON 
when it should be off

Interlock relay error! OFF 
when it should be on

Initial Actions 

Check for loose wires at the PM and IR relays.  
Check for loose wires at all door interlocks, start, 
and e-stop buttons.  Check for loose wires at the 
overload relay, OLH which is mounted to the 
pump motor relay, PM. 

Procedure 

1.  Go to RAP 2.15 Start/Remote Cut Buttons. 

2.  Go to RAP 2.16 E-Stop/Remote E-Stop But-

tons. 

3.  Go to RAP 2.18 Pump Relay. 

4.  Go to RAP 2.14 Interlock Relay. 

5.  Go to RAP 2.11 Door Interlocks. 

6.  Call for technical support.  The pump motor 

may need replacement (PL 5.22 Hydraulic 
Power Unit 59010 or PL 5.23 Hydraulic 
Power Unit 59010-1).
