MSA G1 Classic Breathing Apparatus

Doff the BA set

It is imperative that doffing occurs after post incident decontamination has

occurred.

Follow these steps to remove the BA.

Step

Remove the ancillary equipment.

Ensure it is a clean air environment (COLD zone) and the required post-
incident wash down has been completed.

Check the pressure in the cylinder.

Retrieve BA tally tag from the BA Control/Entry Officer.

Re-attach the BA tally tag onto the spring clip.

Remove gloves.

Remove helmet.
