3 After-sales service
The 2498C/D optical power meter is warranted for 18 months, and will be repaired free of charge if it fails
during the warranty period. However, the following conditions are not covered by the free warranty.

Failure or damage is caused by irresistible forces such as natural disasters.

The damage to 2498C/D optical power meter and its performance degradation are caused by the
human factors such as incorrect operations that the operators fail to follow the instructions.

The maintenance of the 2498C/D optical power meter shall be carried out by China Electronics
Technology Instruments Co., Ltd. or its designated and authorized maintenance unit. Any other unit
or individual disassembling and repairing the 2498C/D optical power meter is illegal and results in
the ter
mination of its warranty. What’s more, China Electronics Technology Instruments Co., Ltd.
reserves the right to pursue legal liability for offenders.

If the 2498C/D optical power meter should be return to factory for repairing or maintenance, please
package the 2498C/D optical power meter in the carrying case and transport it to the factory with
original packaging of the meter. When the 2498C/D optical power meter is returned, damage
caused by improper packaging is not covered by the warranty.
Note:
China Electronics Technology Instruments Co., Ltd. reserves the right to
make any changes to the design and structure of the 2498C/D optical
power meter at any time, but has no obligation or responsibility to
modify or replace the products sold for free of charge.
