FLIGHT CREW OPERATIONS SUMMARY
This summary provides additional information for the flight crew regarding operational changes as a result
of accomplishment of this service bulletin. Please remove this summary from the service bulletin and give
it to the flight crew. This summary is informational only and does not supersede any information in the
FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual.
1.
The steep approach switch will eliminate nuisance “SINK RATE” callouts during a steep approach at an
airport other than the four listed below. The “PULL-UP” command will be called out when the sink
rate envelope has been exceeded with the GPWS STP APR ON.
2.
The steep approach switch will allow the pilot to select airports that have authorized steep approaches,
in addition to the four that are automatically recognized by the EGPWS:
•
London City, England (EGLC)
•
Lugano, Switzerland (LSZA)
•
Lindbergh Field, San Diego, California (KSAN)
•
Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada (CYJT).
