Installation and maintenance instructions

General note

Emergency exit devices in accordance with DIN EN 179 standard comprise

the lock and the fitting and are identified with a classification code. This

also applies to the installation of spare parts. For holding the door in its

closed position, no other devices should be installed except those defined

in the DIN EN 179. This does not preclude the installation of door closers. All

provided locking counterparts and/or covers should be installed to ensure

conformity with DIN EN 179.

Operation

Function E (latch lever function)

Application

Unauthorized opening of the door from the outside is to be prevented.

The exit device is provided with a lever handle on the inside (danger side)

and with a fixed knob on the outside. The locked door can be opened from

the inside with the panic function in the lock. From the outside, the dead

bolt can be unlocked and the latch bolt can be retracted with the key (latch

lever function).

Only the original forend may be screwed onto the lock case. After the instal-

lation of the lock, all fastening screws must be re-tightened.
