Chapter 3 INSTALLATION
3.1 Overview
The following steps can be followed in the in-building repeater’s
installation
Step1
Determine the internal antennas positions and install the antennas on
roof or wall.
Step2
Install the repeater inside at convenient (considering the power supply)
and safe (far away from other electrical appliances for heat-dissipation)
location.
Step3
Determine the external antenna’s position and point to nearest cell tower
directly, and install the external antenna outside.
Step4
Run cables from repeater to external antenna and from repeater to
internal antenna.
Step5
Power up the in-building repeater.
Step6
Check indicator lights and rotate the external antenna until maximum
signal strength on phone.
3.2
Internal Antenna Installation
First of all, determine the installation location of the internal antennas. For the
360-degree coverage, such as a room, the basic installation principle is that install
them in the center of where the signal needs to be boosted. The higher it is
mounted, the better performance is.
