Open the packaging and make sure it is undamaged, check that it contains all parts
listed on page 1 and are in perfect condition.
If damage has incurred during transport, contact Centro Style or its distributor.

Open the battery compartment and insert the enclosed battery with
correct polarity.

The instrument switches on automatically when placed in vertical position and
switches off again when placed in horizontal position.

Place the PD-meter on the patient’s nose, with both oculars in correspondence to the
patient’s eyes.
The PD-meter can be placed onto the patient’s nose even if the patient is
wearing glasses.

The reference lines must be brought into correspondence with the patient’s pupils.
To achieve this, move the PD adjustment slides

Take the PD-meter off the patient’s nose and read the patient’s pupilar distance
and the semi-distance for the left
and the right
eye.
• Replace exhausted batteries with new ones. Do not use batteries of different
makes or not completely charged.
• This instrument is not water-tight nor resistant to splashes. Never immerse it in
water or expose it to splashes
• Do not try to repair it yourself or by an unauthorized person. Always send it to
Centro Style or their distributor for repair.
• The PD-meter does not generate electromagnetic disturbance which could
interfere with other equipment.
This instrument is designed and manufactured for use only as explicitly stated in this
manual. All other uses are considered improper.
