Fuel lever in “CLOSED”
position.
Engine under load during start-
up.
Spark plug wire loose.
Fuel line clogged.
Air filter clogged.
Fuel contaminated.
Faulty ignition system.
Battery low or defective.

Add fuel or oil.
Turn ignition switch to “ON”
position.
Clean or replace spark plug.
Properly adjust choke.
Turn fuel lever to “OPEN”
position.
Remove load from Engine.
Attach wire to spark plug.
Clean fuel line and filter.
Clean air filter.
Drain fuel tank and carburetor
bowl. Refill with fresh fuel.
Have a qualified service
technician check out ignition
system.
Recharge or replace battery.
