Operation

Refer to the Assembly Drawing on page 6 and Figure A below.

#4 Jack Plane

Note: The Blade (1) is movable and replaceable.  Caution: Always be careful

when handling the sharp blade.

1.

To change or replace the Blade (1), loosen the Lever Cap Screw (4).  Push

down on the Lever Cap Assembly (3) and lift off the Frog Assembly (5). You
can then lift out the Blade (1) for sharpening, adjusting or replacing.

See Figure A.

2.

To set the Blade (1) back in so that it fits, position it over the Set Screw and

be sure it is properly aligned. Replace the Lever Cap Assembly (3) and
tighten the Lever Cap Screw (4).
