Operating your Appliance
WARNING: Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating or risk of fire, do not cover the appliance.
WARNING: Never leave this appliance unattended when in use.
WARNING: Do not use this appliance with a programmer, remote-control system, separate timer or any
other device that switches the appliance on automatically.
Note: When the appliance is turned on for the first time, it may release a slight odour. This odour is a
normal occurrence caused by the initial starting of the unit and should not occur again.
Leave the appliance to stand for one hour after transport or after the unit has been on its side before
connecting it to the mains supply to let the refrigerant settle.
Ensure all external windows and doors are closed before turning on the unit.
Ensure that the water container is positioned correctly.

STARTING THE UNIT
Plug into power supply and switch on at the mains. To turn the appliance on, press the ON/OFF button to ON.
The unit will start to dehumidify. The Operation light will flash until the compressor starts to run. The light will
stop flashing and remain on when the compressor has started.
To turn the appliance off, press the ON/OFF Button to OFF.
If the dehumidifier is not in use for a long time, please disconnect the power cord plug from the outlet.
PLEASE NOTE:
1.
When the indicating light which shows the tank is full illuminates, please pour the water out of the tank
and replace tank back into unit. The unit will then resume working.
2.
When the unit shuts down, please wait at least 3 minutes before restarting it to prevent damage to the
compressor.
3.
The recommended operating temperature range is 15
℃
to 32
℃
but it is still effective down to 5
°C.
Ultimately the performance of this appliance is dependant on the amount of moisture or water vapour in
the air.

This appliance is rated to extract 10L per day in an environment of 80% humidity and temperature of
30°C. This is the world-wide standard for rating dehumidifiers. In New Zealand we do not have climatic
conditions with this humidity and high temperature. Accordingly, the extraction levels may be lower.

If the dehumidifier wont start (the indicating light does not illuminate) or the dehumidifier shuts down
unreasonably, please make sure the plug is connected firmly to power supply. If the plug and power
supply are in normal condition, please wait for 10 minutes before restarting the unit (as it takes 10 minutes
to reposition). If the unit still does not start after 10 minutes, please contact an authorised electrical
service technician.
6.
When the dehumidifier is operating, it is normal for the working compressor to generate a small amount of
heat and bring the ambient temperature up slightly.
7.
When the product is defrosting, the related indicating light will illuminate.
Always choose a safe location for the appliance, keeping in mind the safety precautions
outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. This appliance
requires no installation, it should be used solely as a portable appliance.
