Transporting and Setting Up
5.2 Unpacking
Before setting up the machine, remove any existing transport packaging, transport locks and
transport aids.
Then check the machine as follows:
• Is damage recognisable which was caused by transport?
• Is the shipment complete? Compare the delivered parts with the delivery note.
If the machine was damaged during transport or if the shipment is incomplete, please in-
form the manufacturer immediately.
Dispose of the packing material in accordance with the applicable regulations.
5.3 Requirements for the environment
The environment must meet the following requirements:
• The supporting surface is of sufficient strength to permit the sure stability of the ma-
chine and its operator.
• Level supporting surface.
5.4 Raising and setting down
Safety instructions: Observe the operating manuals of any optional attachments!
Attachments may be fitted on the machine. These attachments must be removed before
raising if necessary. For information about the attachments and their removal, refer to the
corresponding operating manual.
• The machine is switched off and secured against accidental switch-on, see the chapter
"Operation" > "Daily shut-down" (page 72).
• Two persons for safely moving the machine.
• Suitable load lifting gear with a lifting force of at least 152 kg.
• Suitable suspension systems (for example, suitable crane hooks, chain sling or webbing
sling) with a load-bearing capacity of at least 152 kg.
WARNING
Danger of injury from falling, heavy machine!
Serious injuries to the body and limbs can be caused by a falling machine!
Never walk under hanging loads!
If possible only lift the machine to a height that still enables the machine to be "guided"
with the hands!
Always wear safety shoes!
