3. BEFORE USE
Note:
some parts of the steam iron have been slightly greased and as a result, the iron may
slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short time, this will cease.
1.
Take the product out of the box.
2.
Remove any packaging materials, stickers or protective foil from the soleplate.
3.
Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth.
4. OPERATION
WATER TANK FILLING
1.
Unplug the iron before filling the water tank.
2.
Turn the temperature knob to de minimum position.
3.
Rest the iron on its heel rest, tilt forward approximately 45º and pour water into the water-
filling opening up to the MAX mark.
VERTICAL STEAMING
1.
Make sure there is enough water in the water tank.
2.
Stand the steam iron on its heel rest on an iron-safe surface and connect it to the power
supply.
3.
Turn the temperature knob and steam controller to maximum.
4.
Hold the iron vertically and press the steam burst button, an intense steam will be ejected
from the soleplate.
DRY IRONING
1.
Select the appropriate temperature according to the type of fabric.
STEAM IRONING
1.
With the unit unplugged, fill the iron with water.
2.
Connect the iron to the power supply.
3.
Use the + and – buttons to select on the LCD display the type of fabric to be ironed.
4.
When finished, use the + and – buttons to select OFF on the LCD display and unplug the
device from the power supply.
SAFE START UP WITHOUT HEAT IN THE SOLEPLATE
As a safety measure, when the iron is turned on, the soleplate does not generate heat. Select this
mode also to turn the iron off.
SYNTHETIC-CLOTHES IRONING
•
Low-temperature and no-steam operation.
•
When this function is selected, the display will show the temperature symbol and a dot
blinking. After a few seconds, both symbols will turn steady and the iron will produce a
beep, indicating that is ready to be used. (70 ºC-120 ºC).
WOOL/SILK IRONING
•
Medium-temperature and no-steam ironing.
•
When this function is selected, the display will show the temperature symbol and 2 dots
blinking. After a few seconds, the symbols will turn steady and the iron will produce a beep,
indicating that is ready to be used. (100 ºC-160 ºC).
COTTON IRONING
•
Funcionamiento a temperatura alta y con vapor.
•
Cuando seleccione esta función la pantalla mostrará el símbolo de temperatura y tres
puntos parpadeando. Pasados unos segundos los símbolos se quedarán fijos y la plancha
emitirá un pitido, esto indicará que está lista para usarse. (140 ºC-200 ºC).
LINEN IRONING
•
Maximum-temperature operating, with steam.¡
•
When this function is selected, the display will show the temperature symbol, 3 dots and
MAX blinking. After a few seconds, the symbols will turn steady and the iron will produce a
beep, indicating that is ready to be used. (175 ºC-215 ºC).
STANDBY MODE
•
Auto-off function.
WARNING:
if the iron is operated before de indicator light turns off, the iron will not have reached
the correct temperature to vaporize and the soleplate could leak.
STEAM BURST
By pressing the steam-burst button, an intense burst of steam is emitted from the soleplate.
This function can only be activated during high-temperature ironing.
Note:
to prevent the soleplate from leaking, do not keep the steam-burst button pressed for
more than 5 seconds.
Note:
for optimal steam burst, do not press the steam-burst button more than three times in a
row to prevent the iron from cooling.
SPRAYING
•
La función de espray se puede utilizar a cualquier temperatura durante planchado con
vapor o en seco siempre que el depósito de agua esté lleno.
SENSOR TOUCH
•
The iron includes a touch sensor in its handle. For safety reasons, it will only produce
continuous steam when it is held horizontally by the handle.
