1. Screw in the fixing stud (D) into the base of the tap (A).
2. Place the base plinth (B) then upper seal (C) onto the
base of the tap (A).
3. Screw the hot & cold water tail pipes (M&N) into the
base of the tap.
4. Place the mixertap (A) onto the sink or worktop, pass
the tail pipes (M&N), nylon hose (J) and fixing stud (D)
through the taphole. With the tap in place check that the
tail pipes (M&N) meet the hot and cold water feeds. If
further adjustment to the plumbing is required do this
now. Note: the tail pipes can be carefully bent apart to
allow more space for fittings to be attached and the
nylon hose (J) to move freely.
5. Pass the rubber and then metal horseshoe (F&G) over
the fixing stud (D) and around the tail pipes (M&N) and
nylon hose (J). If fitting the tap to a stainless steel sink
the white triangular stabilizer (E) can be placed where
shown to help to stabilize the weight of the tap.
6. Place the fibre washer (I) in the end of nylon hose (J)
and tighten the nylon hose (J) onto the hollow fixing
stud (D). Note ensure the hose is not twisted and has
free space in the cabinet to move.
7. Fasten the hose weight (K) around the lowest point of
the nylon hose (J) using hose weight screws (L).
8. Connect the hot tail pipe (M) to the water supply using a
½” BSPx15mm compression fitting.
9. Connect the Non return valve (Q) to the cold water tail
pipe (N) using compression nut & olive (O&P).
10. Connect the Non return valve (H) to the cold water
supply using compression nut & olive (O&P).
After installation:
Once you have visually checked the new fittings and connections, ensure that all taps are closed except the new mixer tap, which should be
left open. Turn on the water supply at the mains stop cock. As the system starts to refill,
check carefully for leaks
. Once you are fully
satisfied that there are no leaks, turn on the water heating.
Clean the tap to remove any marks created during installation as instructed then replace the bag that has been provided to protect the tap
until it is ready for use.
