RSA-145E Manual – ABB/Sace Isomax S7 (OTM Mechanism)
1.0 Installation
DANGER!
Ensure that the equipment to be remotely operated matches the equipment shown and
described on the cover page. If the equipment does not match, please contact CBS
ArcSafe® for more information regarding remote operating applications for the equipment
in question.
Step 1
: With the MCCB breaker exposed, ensure that the breaker is free from any obstruction
that may interfere with the proper installation of the RSA-174F.
Step 2:
Next, prepare the RSA-145E for installation by loosening the two knobs on the lower
locator. Also, manually jog the motor arm and attached slide to the position which corresponds
to the breaker’s current corresponding position (Fully UP for closed position, fully DOWN for
open position).
Step 3:
Now, place the RSA-145E around the protrusion on the breaker’s face. Ensure that the
RSA assembly sits flush against the lower surface of the breaker before continuing. NOTE: If the
MCCB is in the CLOSED position there will be a small tab as shown below, place the RSA
assembly over this tab during installation as it is spring loaded and depressing it will not affect
RSA or breaker operation.
ATTENTION!
The location of certain items such as mimic bus, stickers, and/or placards may interfere
with the installation of the remote operating equipment. These items may need to be
removed or repositioned for proper installation.
