1. PRECAUTIONS

1-1. Precautions when handling and using the product

Charging, Feeding, Batteries

1

Use HA-A20BAT Battery Pack or DT-5025LBAT Large-capacity Battery Pack as the rechargeable battery
pack.
Do not use DT-5023BAT Battery Pack or DT-5024BAT Large-capacity Battery Pack.

2

When not using a rechargeable battery, use two AA size alkaline batteries. Use of batteries other than alkaline
ones may cause malfunction.

3

A secondary battery is used as a backup. Do not replace the main battery when the backup battery is not yet
fully charged.
Removing the main battery while the backup battery is used-up may delete or change data.

4

Do not operate DT-X5M10R, which operates only by a rechargeable battery, by alkaline batteries.

5

Do not attach the product to the charger without loading a rechargeable battery pack.

6

The rechargeable battery pack may suffer from low voltage due to shipping inspection and natural discharge.
Make sure to charge the rechargeable battery pack before using the product.

7

Life of a rechargeable battery pack will be shortened as one is repeatedly charged and discharged. Replace
the rechargeable battery pack when continuous operating time becomes extremely shorter even if it is fully
charged.

8

Memory (RAM) can be backed up for about three days even without a main battery when a backup battery is
fully charged.

9

It takes four days for a backup battery to become fully charged when a main battery is loaded.

0

Charging the DT-X5 without loading the rechargeable battery pack will also light the charge LED.

Make sure to load the rechargeable battery pack when charging.

A

When the product power is turned on, the protection timer may stop charging the rechargeable battery pack,
which may not yet be in full charge, after 10 hours from the start of charging.
