Settings and functions
2.1 Operation
To turn the CT 333 on, connect the
adapter, press the "ON/OFF" key and hold
it for about 2 seconds. The ON/OFF
indicator will lighten up and a self test will
start. When the test is successful, the
display will show the software version
(upper part of the display) and the
installed currencies (lower part of the
display). The detector is ready for use
when a ‘0’ appear in both displays.
Currency
This Euro detector contains software for max. 2 currencies and it automatically detects the
banknote. At the moment a note is inserted, the motor will start running and the CT 333 checks the
note. One of the 2 LED’s indicating the currency will lighten. Always insert the banknote in a right
angle. The Euro and most other currencies can be inserted in all 4 length way directions.
Please ask you distributor for more information about currencies other than Euro.
Exit direction
As default configuration all genuine notes will exit the machine from the front side.
Counterfeit notes return at the front side and the CT 333 will warn you by flashing the ON/OFF-
button, sounding 3 beeps and showing the alert message in the display. In chapter 3.4 an overview
of those alert messages can be found.
If you want to change the output direction of the genuine notes, press once the DIR-CLEAR key
and the arrow indicating the output direction will change.
The output direction of counterfeit notes can’t be changed.
Display
The CT 333 can show the value of each individual note (DEN) or the total number and value of all
notes tested (ADD). The default set up is ADD. To change this, press and hold the ADD/DEN-REP
button for 2 seconds.
When the number of notes counted is beyond 999 or the total value is beyond 999999, the data will
automatically be set to zero.
The displays will be cleared automatically after 30 seconds.
Sleep mode
The sleep mode is activated after 5 minutes: the display will turn off and only the blue ON/OFF
indicator is on. The CT 333 can be activated again by touching any key or feeding a banknote.
When the detector works on the optional rechargeable battery and is in sleep mode, it will
automatically turn itself off after 15 minutes.
Pressing and holding the ON/OFF key for 2 seconds will turn off the machine.
