Using your Sandwich Maker

Before first use

1.  Read all instructions carefully and keep them handy for future references.

2.  Remove all packaging.

3.  Wipe down the cooking plates with a damp cloth so that they are clean and free of

any manufacturing oils and residues that may have been left on the surface.

Using your Sandwich Maker

1.  Place the Sandwich Maker on a flat, heat-proof surface, away from flammable

objects.

2.  Plug the power plug into the wall socket. The ‘red’ power light will come on.

Preheat the cooking plates until the green light switches on, indicating that the

surface is hot enough to commence cooking. (N.B. Once pre-heated, the ‘green’

ready light will turn on and off as the thermostat regulates the temperature.)

3.  Place the sandwich on the bottom cooking plate and place the top cooking plate

gently down. Secure the locking mechanism in order to press the sandwich into

mold.

4.  The toasting time will depend on the type and thickness of bread and personal

taste. (Warning: All parts of the Sandwich Maker will be very hot during and after

toasting. Do not touch any parts until the Sandwich Maker has cooled down.

5.  When toasting is complete, lift the top cooking plate via the handle. Remove the

sandwich via a plastic heat-proof spatula (not provided). Never use metal utensils,
as they can scratch the non-stick surface.

Handy Hints

-

It is not necessary to use butter or margarine on the outside of the sandwiches.

However, a thin coating of butter or margarine on the outer surfaces of the bread

will speed up browning and enhance flavour.

-

Most types of bread can be used in the Sandwich Maker. Breads with high sugar

content will brown more quickly.

-

Do not use non-stick cooking sprays on the cooking plates.

-

The sandwich filling will get extremely hot. Be careful when biting into sandwiches.
