Once lights become noticeably dimmer it is time to replace the batteries.

- Do not leave batteries installed during extended periods of disuse.
Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
