Note
: Do not insert any object, other than the cable to be stripped, into the wire
guide bushing. The cutting edge of the cutter blade is fragile and easily
damaged. It is imperative that the cutting edge of the blade be free from chips
for proper operation and precise strip quality.

Clearing Debris from the Wire Guide Bushing
Occasionally, a slug of insulation will get trapped in the end of the wire guide bushing
at
the completion of a cycle. This slug should be removed before attempting to process
another cable, since it will affect the strip length of the next cable by not allowing the
end of the cable to touch the blade. NEVER ATTEMPT TO FORCE TRAPPED SLUGS
THROUGH THE BLADE. Use the following method to remove trapped debris:
1. Without a cable inserted into the machine, press and release the Run/Stop
switch.
2. After the clamp jaws close and the blade starts orbiting, press and release the
Run/Stop switch again.
3. The unit will enter stop mode. In this mode the blade is in its maximum diameter
position.
