Operating Instructions
After
you
set
up
your
Risedale,
position
it
in
such
a
way
that
no
one
will
trip
over
the
cord,
and
plug
it
in
the
power
outlet.
Now,
sit
in
the
Risedale.
If
your
feet
are
not
comfortably
flat
on
the
floor,
you
may
need
to
remove
the
1.5
inch
leg
extensions
(see
Assembly
Instructions
page
5).
Next,
push
and
hold
the
Power
Lever
with
your
thumb
to
rise
from
the
seated
position.
Hold
on
to
the
arms
of
the
chair.
To
descend
to
the
seated
position,
pull
and
hold
the
Power
Lever
with
your
index
finger.
Again,
hold
on
to
the
arms
of
the
Risedale.
Note: To reduce the risk of electric
shock, you will notice that the Risedale
has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other), which will only fit
into the outlet one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician to install the
proper outlet. Do not change the plug
in any way.
Note: The Power Lever will work on your right or left hand side.
When reattaching the lever, press it firmly onto the metal finger.
Warning: Do not install both Power Levers at the same time.
Caution: To retrieve an object that has fallen under the cushion,
first raise the seat cushion up, then unplug the power cord, and
reach under the cushion from either side to retrieve the object.
