REPARATION
The Add-A-Room panels include privacy panels to cover the screens. The front and sidewall panels can
be reversed: Place the privacy panels on the inside for secured privacy.
OR
Place the privacy panels on the outside for increased rain protection.
Illustrations in these instructions show the panels with the privacy panels on the outside of the room. To have the
panels on the inside of the room, reverse the orientation of the insert and swap the left and right side panels.

NOTE: For manual awnings, the zipper insert will be left attached to the front panels for setup and
take down. The Velcro tabs are not used for these awning configurations.
1. Extend the awning out completely according to the
manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that the open roller tube
slot and the slot access is down and accessible.
2. If necessary, clean and deburr the slot and slot access.
3. Slide the pull strap down to the opposite end of the roller tube.
4. Zip the short zipper insert onto the door panel. Zip the long
zipper insert onto the front panel.
5.
(Detail A)
Slide the panels with the inserts into the empty
roller tube slot. Zip the door and front panel together.
NOTE: The door may be placed on the right or left side of
the room.
6. Position the panel on the roller tube.
•
For full size rooms, center the panel and door beneath the
awning canopy.
•
For rooms shorter than the awning, position the room in the
desired position. If the room is offset to one side, it is
recommended that the outside zipper edge is approximately
3" in from the edge of the canopy.
7. On the roller tube, mark the edge of the zipper.
8.
(Detail B)
On the roller tube, mark the edge of the zipper. Measure 3/4" up the roller tube from the slot with
the zipper insert.
9. Drill a 5/16" hole into the rollbar. Clean and deburr the hole as required. Use extreme care not to damage the
canopy.
Tip: Use a punch or small drill bit to mark and start the hole. This will prevent the larger drill bit from
"skipping" on the curved surface of the roller tube.
10. Measure and note the final distance (dimension "W") from the edge of the awning canopy to the center
of the hole. This dimension will be used to mount the rafter brackets on the RV wall.
11. Repeat steps 9 – 10 for the other side.
12. Go to "Installing the Standard Rafter Brackets & Fasteners" on page 3 for standard installation or go to
"Installing the Optional Snapless Brackets" on page 3 if using the Snapless Side Panel Upgrade Kit.
