SOLAR VARIO PROTECTOR
Instructions for Use
Article No. 91951
Dear Client,
Congratulations for choosing one of our quality products. Please follow
these instructions carefully and keep them with you.
1. Functional method:
The Solar Vario Protector generates acoustic signals with the tried-and-
tested frequencies of 7 kHz against mosquitoes and fleas (frequency A),
10 kHz against flies, mice and rats (frequency B) and 12 kHz against cock-
roaches and martens (frequency C). The pests perceive the frequencies
as a disruption to their natural way of life and avoid the corresponding
rooms where the sound is emitted.
2. Taking into operation:
The Solar Vario Protector is taken into operation by means of the On/Off
switch. Using the sliding switch, the frequency is set according to the
animal symbols and the key letters. Please ensure when installing the
device that the sound waves can directly reach the area to be protected.
Furniture, curtains and similar items can impair the sound emission and
restrict the function. In the open air the radius of the effective range is
approx. 6 metres; indoors an area of approx. 25 m2 is covered.
Do not
expose unit to rain/moisture.
3. Power supply:
The high quality solar module (amorphous silicon) charges up the built-
in NiMh rechargeable battery within a short time completely free of
charge. Even in complete darkness the voltage reserve of the fully char-
ged battery is retained for approx. 3 days. The appliance can optionally
also be powered by a 230 V AC / 3 V DC mains adaptor (not included).
4. Technical data:
Power supply:
Amorphous silicon solar module via 1x
1.2 V DC 850 mA NiMh rechargeable
battery (included) or 230 V AC / 3 V
DC mains adaptor (not included in the
scope of supply)
Voltage reserve:
approx. 3 days (without the incidence of
light) when the battery is fully charged
Operation:
On / Off switch, frequency selection
switch
Effective range:
approx. 25 m² in closed rooms,
approx. 6 m radius in the open

circuit (e.g. by masking the poles).
Attention: The appliance must be disconnected from the supply
mains (adaptor) when removing the battery.
For battery removal, please loosen the
screws (a).
