Make sure that the umbrella mast
in the stand is secured firmly by the
tightening knobs.
OPENING THE UMBRELLA
Remove the protection bag, if not
done already, and the binding belt.
Loosen all 8 struts by pulling them
slightly outward at the end of the
strut. During transport it is possible
that the struts can wedge together,
which can hinder opening the
umbrella.
Push the release lock button
and pull one of the struts gently
outwards or push the handle up
slowly.
When the umbrella is halfway open,
check to make sure the locking knob
on the handle is in the OFF position.
The umbrella should be easy to
open. Use caution when opening
and make sure there are no passers-
by or objects that can obstruct the
opening of the shade.
CAUTION:
IF THE UMBRELLA DOES NOT OPEN
EASILY, DO NOT USE FORCE!
If the umbrella does not open immediately close the
umbrella. Loosen the struts once more, make sure that
none of them have folded inward. Try to open the um-
brella once again. If the error cannot be detected please
contact your dealer or the Caravita customer service.
DO NOT USE FORCE!
Push the handle upwards in one
movement until the lock clicks into
place.
