For NiCd batteries must first be discharged. The charger knows this and automatically discharges your NiCd
batteries before charging to ensure ideal battery performance.
Discharge is indicated by “DIS” appearing in the LCD Status Indicator. Once discharge has been completed,
the unit will begin to recharge your NiCd batteries.

Ni-MH batteries have no memory effect. The charger will automatically start charging (the display will show
"CHA"
for
"charging").
The
battery
icon
will
be
displayed
on
the
screen.
When the battery is fully charged, the display shows the word "OK". The icon of the charged battery
appears on the screen and the indicator turns green.

Alkaline batteries can be regenerated as long as they are not fully discharged.

Attention if you are in Ni-Cd mode on the switch (7) but you put Ni-MH type batteries, the batteries can be discharged!
