44 cm (1.0 ft. and 1.4 ft.) at maximum telephoto.
Subject is hard to focus on.
Use the focus lock or the manual focus to shoot the image.

55 cm to 4.2 m (1.8 ft. to 14 ft.) from the
subject at the maximum wide angle and within 55 cm to 2.0 m
(1.8 ft. to 6.6 ft.) at the maximum telephoto setting.

Raise the ISO sensitivity and then shoot.
