6.7 How to scan barcodes and use the barcode number to name the image file?
(Pro 5)
To scan barcodes and use the barcode number to name the image file, follow these steps:
1.
Click on the
Barcode
tab in the Ribbon
2.
Set the
Cropping
to 'Automatic (multiple)'
3.
Set the
Sort by
to 'Barcode'. This instructs the software to save the image file and name it with the barcode value scanned
from this image
4.
Set the
Image Settings
to 'Color (Original)'
5.
Set the
Output Format
to 'JPEG'. This instructs the software to save the image file in JPEG format
6.
Set the
Barcode
to 'Barcodes'. This instructs the software to scan for 1 dimension barcode
7.
Click
Scan
in the Ribbon. A JPEG file is created in the
Output Folder
panel and with its name shown as the barcode number
Result: Barcode value used for File name
