Select a Safe Power Supply
■
Avoid location s where a con s iderable amount of du s t accumulate s .
■
Avoid location s near volatile or flammable material s , s uch a s alcohol or
paint thinner.
■
Avoid in s tallin g the machine near computer s or other preci s ion electronic
equipment.
Electrical interference and vibrations generated by the machine during printing can
adversely affect the operation of such equipment.
■
Avoid in s tallin g the machine near televi s ion s , radio s , or s imilar electronic
equipment.
The machine may interfere with sound and picture signal reception. Insert the power plug
into a dedicated power outlet, and maintain as much space as possible between the
machine and other electronic equipment.

Contact an authorized Canon dealer if communication i s unavailable.
Depending on your locale or your telephone connection, you may be unable to perform
data communication. In this case, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

Plu g the machine into a s tandard 220 - 240 V AC, three-wire g rounded
outlet.
■
Make s ure that the power s upply for the machine i s s afe, and ha s a s teady
volta g e.

Do not connect other electrical equipment to the s ame power outlet to
which the machine i s connected.

Do not connect the power cord to a multiplu g power s trip, a s thi s may
cau s e a fire or electrical s hock.

The power cord may become dama g ed if it
i s often s tepped on or if heavy object s are
placed on it. Continued u s e of a dama g ed
power cord can lead to an accident, s uch
a s a fire or electrical s hock.

The power cord s hould not be taut, a s thi s
may lead to a loo s e connection and cau s e
overheatin g , which could re s ult in a fire.
