Configuring print job management settings
The imagePRESS Server supports several configuration settings for submitting and managing print jobs. This section
describes the most frequently used settings.
For a description of additional configuration settings, see
Configure Help .
Managing address books
You can use the email address books to specify which users can submit print jobs by email. The types of address
books that are supported are listed below.
You can retrieve an address book, add an address, delete an address, or clear the address from an entire book. You
can manage the address books by sending an email message in a specific format to the imagePRESS Server (see
Administrator commands for managing address books on page 76).
The imagePRESS Server supports a maximum of 1,000 entries in each address book.
Important:
Email messages to manage the address books can be sent only from an administrator account.
Types of address books
The imagePRESS Server supports the following types of address books:
Admin
Members of the Admin book can modify any of the address books.
Membership in this address book is separate from the Administrator
account and does not provide any administrative privileges other than for
the address books. By default, the Admin address book includes the
Administrator email address specified at

Print
Members of the Print address book can submit print jobs by email to the
imagePRESS Server. Unauthorized users receive an email reply that their job
was not accepted by the imagePRESS Server for printing. By default, this
address book contains the wildcard character @, to allow all users to print.
The wildcard character is overwritten if an email address is added to the
Print address book.
Corporate
Stores destinations for Scan to Email. You can use this address book to store
email destinations. This allows users to send scan files to addresses
registered on an LDAP server.
