16. Media Usage/Compatibility
The imagePRESS C910/C810/C710 maintains reliable, predictable, and high-
quality output. Consistency of the output is dependent on knowing and
compensating for variables of a print job. The imagePRESS C910/C810/C710
incorporates many control systems which compensate for environmental and print
process conditions. Another variable is the print media. Knowing the characteristics
of the media facilitates optimal print output.
16.1 Canon Controller Media Characteristics by Media Library Parameters
The table below describes the standard media library parameters when the Canon
Controller and UI are attached.

Select whether to print on the back side of the custom paper type.
Adjust Creep Correction
Specify the correction adjustment for each page in a booklet.
Curl Correction Level
Specify how to correct the amount of curl

Adjust Image Position
Adjust the printed image position if it is misaligned or distorted.

Lead Edge Alignment
Specify how to adjust the front side and back side image alignment
at the lead edge of the paper toward the feeding direction.
Left Edge Alignment
Specify how to adjust the front side and back side image alignment
at the left edge of the paper toward the feeding direction.
Zoom
Specify how to adjust the front and back side zoom ratio of an
image.
Skew Correction
Specify how to adjust the angle of the paper as it is fed.
Corr. Image Misalignment
Specify how to adjust the image shape by adjusting the left of the
paper to the feeding direction.
Corr. Distort. (Trapezoid)
Specify how to adjust the image position by making the length of the
right and left sides of the printing area equal when the image printed
looks like a trapezoid.
Corr. Distort. (Paralellgrm)
Specify how to adjust the image position by equalizing the length
from the ‘a’ and ‘g’ marks to the lead edge of the paper when the
image printed looks like a parallelogram.
