13 Reassemble the imagePASS and verify its functionality (see page 17 ).
14 If you installed a new CPU and cleared the CMOS, configure the time and date in Setup.
Clearing the CMOS
You must clear the CMOS after installing a new motherboard, CPU, DIMM, or hard disk
drive to ensure compatibility between the new component and the previous settings stored in
the BIOS.

When you handle electronic components, follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions
(see
page 10 ).
1 Remove the imagePASS from the copier (see page 14 ).
As part of this step, you must disconnect the power cable. Do not proceed until you have
done so.
2 Open the imagePASS (see page 15 ).
3 Remove the battery (see page 32 ).
4 Wait two minutes to allow the motherboard electrical components to fully discharge.
5 Reinstall the battery (see page 32 ).
6 Reassemble the imagePASS and verify its functionality (see page 17 ).
7 Reset date and time in Setup (see Configuration and Setup , which is part of the user
documentation set).
