The Depth-of-Field Preview
button is a high-end feature that
lets you see exactly what’s in
focus before you take the shot.
By pressing the AF Point Select
button and turning the dial, you
can easily choose any one of the
seven focusing points.
With AE Lock , exposure is pre-
cisely set and then stored in the
memory, giving you time to
recompose your shot without
rushing. When you add a
Speedlite, the AE Lock becomes
an FE Lock , letting you spot
meter with the flash, then save
the proper flash exposure until
you’re ready to shoot.
