Waste ink tank error
: Set waste ink tank

<Cause>

The lower left cover sensor detected the lower left cover open state.

<Probable faulty component>

Lower left cover, left cover sensor, mech. controller, system controller.

<Action>

1. Check the status.

Check that the waste ink tank has been set correctly and the waste ink tank
locking lever has been pressed down to the specified position.

2. Check the lower left cover.

Check the status (open/closed) of the lower left cover. If anomalies in the sensor
including damaged sections on the pressing lever are found, replace the lower left
cover.

3. Replace the lower left cover sensor.
4. Replace the mech. controller.
5. Replace the system controller.

The waste ink tank full sensor detected a full waste ink tank.

removed waste ink tank.

2. Replace the waste ink tank unit.
