1.2.8 IR Input
IR signals can be transmitted to the unit in two ways:
(a) The 3 triangular holes on the right side of the case allow for over-the-air IR
reception, good for line-of-sight transmission, up to approximately 30 feet.
(b) IR signals may also be sent to the unit via hardwire, using the middle two pins on the
4-pin connector located on the right side of the unit, labeled IR- /GND and IR1+ IN.
Note that pin 3 is a shared ground connector.
1.2.9 Headphones
Headphones may be plugged into the unit using the 1/8 inch
mini jack located on the right side. Note that the headphone
output remains active even when the amplifier output is
muted on the CA-500 and CA-1000.
