 Installation Variables

Before installing the GigaCenter, consider the following:

Will the unit will be mounted on the wall or on a tabletop?

Four Ethernet (RJ-45) ports, (2) Phone ports, and (1) G.fast (RJ-14) port are
connected on the back of the unit which must be planned for from a cable routing
perspective.

A power supply and/or signal cable/UPS power cord combination may be need-
ed.

Determine what type of building material is used in the home. Make sure you
have the appropriate drills, drill bits and fasteners for mounting the GigaCenter,
or routing subscriber services and power cables as they pass through walls and
the like.

Make sure you account for all variables prior to determining the unit’s

fi

 nal location.
