4.1.4 Transformer 1 To Heater Power Supply
We will now connect the secondary winding of Transformer 1 to the heater
supply section of the integrated power supply board.
Please pay attention on the terminals of the secondary winding on the
transformer. There are two pairs of 0-15VAC output terminals. We will wire
them in parallel. Again, please refer to the wiring diagram.
Connect the cables from the transformer to J6 and J7 (14-17V AC IN).
4.1.5 Transformer 2 To Main Power Supply
We will now connect the secondary winding of Transformer 2 to the high voltage
(B+) supply section of the integrated power supply board.
Please pay attention on the terminals of the secondary winding on the
transformer. There are two pairs of 0-115VAC output terminals. We will wire
them in series to get the 0-230VAC. Again, please refer to the wiring diagram.
Connect the cables from the transformer to J1 and J2 (200-240V AC IN).
4.1.6 Main Power Supply to Phono Board (B+)
Now we will be making the connection from the power supply to the main
preamp board. Note that this the B+ (or HV or high voltage) powering the main
phono board.
Please pay attention to the fact that that we will only connect the B+ cable.
DO
NOT CONNECT the 0V line (the 0V line is not connected to anything).
Although this cable will be on the 300VDC potential, it will only be carrying about
25mA of current.
So, connect a cable between J4 (B+ DC OUT on the integrated power supply
board) and J6 (B+ on the main preamp board). See Figure 27.
