Operation
•
Switch On -‐ With the UPS plugged in, press the power switch in to switch
the UPS on. The UPS will perform a self-‐test each time it is switched
on and the buzzer will beep 2 times.
•
Switch Off -‐ By depressing the power switch. UPS will keep charging
batteries.
•
Backup (Beeping 1 time every 5 seconds) -‐ When in Backup mode, the
battery illuminates and the UPS emits a beeping sound every four
seconds. Press the power switch to stop the beeping. The alarm
stops when the UPS returns to normal utility mode of operation
•
Low Battery (Beeping 2 times every 1 second) -‐ In Backup mode, when
the battery energy runs low, the UPS beeps rapidly until the UPS
shuts down due to complete battery discharge.
•
Overload (Beeping 4 times every 2 seconds) -‐ When the UPS is overloaded
all three LED’s turn on and the buzzer beeps every 1 second.
Promptly disconnect non-‐essential load equipment from the UPS to
eliminate the overload, otherwise, the UPS will shut off output
power. The time for shut-‐down is determined by the size of the
overload
•
NOTE: If the UPS is working in battery mode, DO NOT turn on any
additional loads such as a computer or monitor or return any loads
from sleep mode, otherwise, the UPS may operate its overload or
short circuit protection.
