Overview
WXTrak is a small, inexpensive radio controller designed to receive and broadcast weather information. It removes the
need for a full TNC (terminal node controller) in an APRS weather transmitter. When connected to a compatible weather
station, and a radio transmitter, WXTrak will key the radio at user-defined intervals, and transmit the current weather data,
and station location. It currently supports the Radio Shack WX200, the Oregon Scientific WM-918, and the Peet Brothers
Ultimeter 100, Ultimeter 800, Ultimeter 2000, and Ultimeter 2100. The Peet Brothers stations can be in Data Logging
Mode, or Complete Record Mode. Packet Mode is not officially support, but does mostly work. All WXTrak operating
parameters are stored in the internal EEPROM, and will persist even when power is removed. WXTrak was created by
Byon Garrabrant, N6BG, and is based on the TinyTrak3. More information can be found at the Byonics web site at
http://www.byonics.com.
