X Jack Warnings
•
Never allow any part of your body to be under the vehicle when it is supported by the X Jack.
•
Never use X Jack for vehicle maintenance, accessory fitment or wheel removal.
•
Ensure immobile vehicle is stable and not in a position where a rollover could occur prior to getting out of the vehicle or
commencing vehicle recovery.
•
Chock wheels which will remain on the ground when the X Jack is inflated to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
Use X Jack to lift vehicle, do NOT use the X Jack as a vehicle support.
•
Never get underneath a vehicle during recovery operations.
•
Never inflate X Jack beyond 68.9 kPa (10psi). Do not over inflate. Once the X Jack has fully inflated or stopped lifting
the vehicle, stop operation. The X Jack will not lift the vehicle any higher. Any attempt to inflate the X Jack further could
damage the X Jack and result in product failure.
•
Check that the X Jack is safe to use as per “Safety & Care Information” of the guidelines.
•
No person(s) are to remain in a vehicle that is being raised. All person(s) except for the X Jack operator are to be well clear
of the vehicle.
•
Never lift the vehicle from the front or rear end where the front two wheels or rear two wheels are lifted off the ground
simultaneously. Recommended recovery locations are on one side of the vehicle between the front and rear wheels – See
step 3 in X Jack Guidelines.
•
Never attempt to push the vehicle during a vehicle recovery.
•
Be aware that vehicles exhaust fumes are poisonous if inhaled in large quantities. Therefore do not use X Jack in a confined
area and always turn off engine when not inflating the jack.
•
If using air compressor to inflate X Jack, never leave unattended.

Apply handbrake and chock three remaining wheels to stop vehicle from moving.
Using a shovel, ensure all four wheels of the immobilised vehicle have a clear path in the direction that the
vehicle will travel during recovery.
STEP 1: Secure Vehicle from Rolling
STEP 2: Prepare X Jack
STEP 3: Position X Jack Under Vehicle
Compress X Jack with the top and base on top of each other (similar to a crushed drink can).
Connect the hose A to the X Jack inlet by turning in a clockwise direction and tighten.
Assemble hose B to hose A and lay out flat to remove any kinks.
Use protective mat between the vehicle and the X Jack to help prevent punctures.
Select a strong underbody location capable of supporting weight of vehicle. Never locate under fuel tanks, fragile plastic
body parts or exhaust system. Avoid sharp body protrusions, brackets, bolts or edges. See figure 1 for recommended
recovery locations.
Where possible use X Jack on level ground.
Note: Make sure the sealing ring is free of sand or dirt.
Note: You can use your cab floor mats to give you extra bag protection if required.
Note: Where possible position X Jack so it lifts no more than one wheel off the ground
