Charging the CDAB4312R before use (cont)

when connected to the power source

When fully charged the battery level indicator

charge with the unit switched
OFF ‘Charge Full’

cable can now be disconnected and stored .
The device is fully charged and ready for use .
IMPORTANT! Connecting the earphones before
powering on
Getting started
In order to receive radio stations the earphones need
to be connected as they act as an antenna.

Connect the earphone

NOTE: When you next power up ON, the radio plays

Listening to the radio for the first time
When you first switch the unit on the default mode is
DAB.

After switching the unit
ON
, you will see
‘Welcome to
Digital Radio’
on the display and then a
FULL SCAN
will be performed .

During the full scan mode, the LCD will display a slide
bar that indicates the progress of the scan, and the
amount of radio stations that have been found so far.
Once the scan has finished, the radio will select the
first alphanumeric station.
NOTE: The station name will be shown in the
middle of the display. Information about the DAB
radio station will be displayed on the bottom of
the display.
General operation
Volume
1:
Press the
UP
+ button

to increase the volume level .

DOWN

to decrease the volume
level .
Keylock
The unit is equipped with a key lock function to prevent
buttons being pressed by mistake.

Press and hold the
SELECT
button

to activate the
key lock function .

again to
release the key lock function .
DAB operation
Press the MODE button (9) (if in FM mode) to switch to
DAB mode. The display will show ‘DAB’.

stations use either
TUNE

TUNE DOWN (3)
buttons to cycle through
the stations . When you reach the desired station
press the
SELECT
button

to begin playback of that
