Control of the hot plates
First identify the correct control knob by
1.
checking the symbols above each knob as
shown in fi gure 5.
There are four hot plate control knobs, one for
2.
each hot plate.
When any of the hot plates are in use the hot
3.
plate warning light will be illuminated.
The hot plate control knobs have seven
4.
positions marked on them as shown in
fi gure 6. ‘0’ is off, while the remaining
6 positions are shown below.
1 Keeping
hot
2-3
Heating locations at low heat
4-5-6 Cooking - Roasting and boiling locations
To turn the hot plate off, rotate the control knob
5.
to the ‘0’ position.
NOTE:
The upper part of the hot plate is covered by a
protective, heat-resistant material. The fi rst time
you use each hot plate, turn the hot plate control
knob to position 3 then operate the hot plate
for 5 minutes to burn and therefore toughen the
protective layer.
Performance tips
Always select a pan that is correctly sized for
1.
the hot plate on which it is positioned to avoid
unnecessary energy loss.
Saucepans with smooth bases increase the
2.
effi ciency of your cooker.
To avoid accidental spillage, make sure pans
3.
are centrally positioned and avoid allowing
handles to overhang.
