Safe sampling
1. Pierce the instrument into the medium to be
sampled up to the desired depth. Thereby, the
sliding sleeve
closes the filling opening
.
2. At the desired depth, pull back the instrument
approx. 10 cm. Thereby, the sliding sleeve opens the
filling opening.
3. Move the instrument gently up and down. Thereby,
the sample container is filled with the medium to
be sampled.
4. Pull the instrument out of the medium to be
sampled.
5. Screw off the lower part of the sample container
and empty the sample into a suitable collecting
container.
6. Clean the instrument.
CAUTION!
Bodily injury due to uncontrolled swinging around
of the instrument and the extension rods.

Pay attention to have sufficient space during the
application.

Disassemble the instrument for transport.
WARNING!
Bodily injury due to accidental contact with electri-
cal power. Danger of electric shock.

Keep sufficient distance to any electrical power
sources and supply lines.

Pointed parts on the instrument. Risk of injury.

Do not pierce the instrument completely
through the container.

Keep persons and body parts out of the danger
area.
CAUTION!
Deformation of the extension rod. Slipping danger.

Extend the rod only as long as necessary (maxi-
mum length 3.50 m).

`
Do not plunge the instrument into highly com-
pressed material.
`
`
Do not perform any lever movements.
CAUTION!
Entanglement of the sampler by moving parts in
the silo.
`
`
Do not use the instrument, if moving parts in
the silo are operating.
