Calibration Process
The following process needs to be completed for all dispense stations.
Step 1:
Identify the desired mix ratio for the product being used, (usually found on the product container), and mark
the product ratio on the total dispense ratio chart.
Step 2:
Conduct water flow test to determine known volume of water dispensed.
Step 3:
Perform total dispense test to determine total volume of water and product dispensed.
Step 4:
Use the total dispense ratio chart to determine if total dispense matches the ratio target.
Step 5:
Make pump speed adjustment if total dispense does not match desired ratio target.
The procedures for conducting a water flow test, and total dispense test are explained in detail below along with the
procedure for making a pump speed adjustment.
Water Flow Testing and Adjustment
Tools Required:

64 ounce pitcher (BUNN P/N: 04238.0000) or graduated measuring cup (BUNN P/N: 33095.0000).
Step 1: Place a graduated measuring cup or the large chamber of the empty brixing
cup (BUNN-O-MATIC part number 33095.0000) under the appropriate dispense
nozzle. Place the Program switch in the ON position.
Step 2: Press and release the desired “Product Dispense Switch” three times. (On
Portion Control models, use the plus/stop switches)
Step 3: The selected position will dispense water (no concentrate) only for 3 seconds.
Step 4: Measure the water dispensed.
Step 5: Adjust the water flow rate with a 1/4 allen wrench, (clockwise to increase flow
rate; counterclockwise to decrease flow rate) to the corresponding product mix
ratio as follows:
*Maximum flow rate may be less depending on the water pressure supply at each location.
Note: Information for specific products listed in this table is to be used for reference only. Consult the product label for
exact mix ratio and/or brix %. See product label for target brix %.
Step 6: Repeat steps 1 through 5 as necessary until the correct water flow rate is achieved and record the total
dispensed water for each dispense station.
Step 7: Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the remaining dispense positions.
Step 8: Place the Program switch back into the OFF position.
