Installing the Optional AC Battery Charger
The procedure in this section explains how to install the optional AC battery charger. You can use
either the battery charger cable provided by AI or 22 AWG wire for connections.
Complete the following steps:
1.
Use a small slotted screwdriver to loosen the positive (+) and negative (–) screw terminals
on the AC battery charger (Figure 2-18).

If you are using the battery charger cable provided by AI, complete the following steps:
a.
Connect the ring terminal on the white wire of the battery charger cable on the
positive (+) screw terminal of the AC battery charger.
b.
Connect the ring terminal on the black wire of the battery charger cable on the
negative (–) screw terminal of the AC battery charger. Tighten screw terminals when
you finish.
c.
Use a wire cutter to remove the connector on the end of the battery charger cable. Cut
the black and white wires as close to the connector as possible. When you finish,
continue with step
4
.
3.
If you are using 22 AWG wire for connections, complete the following steps:
a.
Use a wire cutter to cut two pieces of 22AWG wire to a length that allows you to
connect the AC battery charger to the input channel on the controller board of the
Bullhorn unit.
b.
Connect one wire to the positive (+) screw terminal of the AC battery charger and
another wire to the negative (–) screw terminal. Tighten screw terminals when you
finish.
4.
Route the battery charger cable, or 22 AWG wires, through the water-tight fitting on the
bottom of the Bullhorn unit.
